We value our staff, who we believe to be the key to our success. St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is a unionized environment with two unions – the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union (NSNU). The facility provides service 24 hours per day, seven days per week and as such, there are various shifts available.
St. Anne Centre offers employment benefits through Health Association Nova Scotia (HANS) including a pension. Staff at St. Anne Centre can also benefit from a voluntary program called ‘Ease’, that assists staff who has suffered a disability unrelated to work.
St. Anne Centre staff are also covered under Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) benefits. There are various in-services and workshops that are organized and/or funded by the organization to provide education opportunities to the staff in different departments.
We are linked in to the Telehealth system which provides a method of onsite in-servicing. Staff are surrounded by a community atmosphere.
